As my life unfolds, organically, responding to circumstances and changing with them, so too does my work. Sometimes forms repeat themselves after having been forgotten for years; sometimes a particular method of mark making carries on even as the form and content change; sometimes the same mark is re contextualized as it is used on a different form; sometimes the work addresses an interior life, sometimes an external concern; always it is a means to communicate.

In the 11 years that I have been salt glazing, I have thrown and hand built, often changing clay bodies, making cups and bowls as often as I have made sculpture, using less salt now and more another time. Last year my oil-fired kiln finally gave up the ghost, much to my relief. I now fire a 20cft, wood fired kiln to 1300 c and salt.
